Job summary

Boyd's Tire & Service in Central Ohio is seeking a General Service Technician to perform non-technical car care tasks. You will work alongside ASE Certified Technicians and receive training to advance toward becoming an ASE Automotive Technician.

This is an entry point with room to grow. As a General Service Technician, you will handle oil changes, tire and wheel services, alignments, flushes and related duties.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive experience preferred, but we will consider energetic and hardworking individuals with a passion for cars.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass an MVR, and criminal background check.
• Ability to work Monday - Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports customers to and from their residence or business using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, supplies and tires from vendors or the office using the company vehicle.
• Operates the company vehicle safely and obeys traffic laws.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services under supervision.
• Documents vehicle condition and safety concerns using inspection and repair orders.
• Maintains shop cleanliness and ensures a inviting service area.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to management.

Skills

Automotive experience
