Job summary

Boyd’s Tire & Service in Central Ohio is seeking a General Service Technician to perform non-technical service repairs such as oil changes, tire and wheel services, alignments, flushes, and more. You will work alongside ASE Certified Automotive Technicians and receive training to advance toward ASE certification, starting a successful career in automotive service.

Compensation ranges from $17 to $22 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive experience preferred.
• Ability to work Monday − Saturday.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass an MVR and background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports customers to and from their place of residence or business using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors and/or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Operates the company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner following all traffic laws.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections following company and state guidelines.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balancing and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services as directed by the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop and service areas and documents vehicle condition as needed.
