Job summary

LaFontaine Nissan Troy is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards. The role welcomes technicians, trainees, and apprentices looking for growth in a professional and rewarding environment.

You’ll diagnose issues, repair vehicles, and collaborate with the Parts Department while maintaining safety and quality. Evening/weekend hours may be required based on service demand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Michigan Mechanic Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process repair orders accurately and efficiently.
• Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and perform authorized repairs.
• Communicate with the Parts Department to acquire necessary parts.
• Tag, save, and return parts as required, especially for warranty jobs.
• Inform service advisors promptly about additional work or issues.
• Document all work performed and complete thorough quality checks.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure repairs meet quality standards.
• Attend training sessions and stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
• Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles and adhere to safety and housekeeping policies.
• Follow all federal, state, and local regulations related to service repair.
