Job summary

Herb Chambers Honda of Burlington is part of Asbury Automotive Group and seeks a skilled Automotive Service Technician (B Level) to perform routine repairs and diagnostics on customer vehicles. You will be expected to complete inspections, document work, and communicate effectively with service advisors to meet timelines.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications heavily preferred.
• Must have basic tools.
• Must have great technical and mechanical skills.
• Must be a team player and have the ability to work repetitively on complex tasks.
• Must be eighteen years or older and have a valid driver’s license.
• Pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test).

Responsibilities

• Make accurate use of the multi-point inspection form on each vehicle.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the job order.
• Communicate with service advisor when additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Maintain technician proficiency as specified by Asbury standards.
• Conduct road tests to confirm work performed and identify additional issues as needed.
• Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on vehicles.
• Perform all levels of preventive/routine maintenance services.
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs to stay updated on new technology.
• Report safety concerns to management as required.
