Job summary

Bobby's Auto Service Center in Hayes, VA, is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to diagnose and repair a range of domestic and foreign vehicles. Join a shop that values quality work and keeping customers on the road.

You will perform diagnostic inspections, routine maintenance, brake and suspension repairs, engine and drivetrain work, and use diagnostic tools. A valid driver's license and attention to detail are essential; ASE certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

Prior experience as an automotive technician or mechanic required.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing domestic and/or foreign vehicles.
ASE certification(s) preferred but not required.
Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic inspections to identify mechanical and electrical vehicle issues.
Carry out routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
Complete brake, suspension, and steering system repairs.
Conduct engine and drivetrain repairs as needed.
Use diagnostic scan tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex issues.
Document all services performed and communicate findings to service advisors.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
