The ideal candidate has 5+ years in automotive repair, ASE certification or progress toward ASE, and the ability to obtain a Virginia State Inspector License. A valid driver's license and strong diagnostic skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years automotive repair experience.
• Prefer ASE certification or progress toward ASE.
• Virginia State Inspector License or ability to obtain promptly.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training desirable.
• Reliable transportation and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Repair vehicle systems: transmission, A/C, brakes, suspension, steering, fuel, exhaust, electrical.
• Diagnose issues from customer complaints and verify with test drives.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, tune-ups, tire rotation and balancing.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment following company standards.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify problems across makes/models.
• Communicate with service advisors and parts clerks; explain issues and recommendations.
• Assist and mentor junior technicians; share best practices.
• Document services on repair orders for customer history and warranties.
