Job summary

Hyundai of Fairfield is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our service department. You will inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of vehicles, following Hyundai standards and dealership procedures.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, can use computerized diagnostic equipment, and works well with a team to deliver quality workmanship and an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to use computerized diagnostic equipment and repair information systems.
• Automotive technical training or equivalent experience preferred.
• ASE certifications and/or Hyundai certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair vehicles per dealer standards.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot vehicle concerns.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and brakes.
• Document inspections, parts, labor and repairs.
• Communicate with service advisors about repairs.
• Follow safety procedures and keep area clean.
• Stay updated with Hyundai training requirements.
