Job summary

Volkswagen of Fairfield is seeking a skilled automotive service technician to diagnose and repair vehicles, focusing on mechanical and electrical systems. You will use diagnostic tools, interpret data, and apply quality workmanship to restore performance efficiently.

You will communicate findings clearly to customers, perform maintenance per dealer and manufacturer guidelines, document work in the DMS, and uphold safety standards while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years as automotive service technician.
• Experience diagnosing engines and mechanical/electrical systems.
• Ability to explain repairs clearly to customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose engine and electrical issues and repair or replace parts.
• Service vehicles per maintenance procedures per dealer/manufacturer guidance.
• Document repairs and times in ASR/DMS systems.
• Communicate repair needs to Shop Foreman; minimize comebacks.
