The 'B' Level Service Technician is responsible for understanding and completing routine repairs on customer vehicles, including general repairs and diagnostics with some assistance. Repairs may include light engine work, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, electrical systems (starters and alternators), HVAC systems, steering & suspension systems. Certification from manufacturers is highly preferred.

1. Make accurate use of the multi-point inspection form on each vehicle.
2. Document all work performed and recommendations on the repair order.
3. Communicate with service advisors about additional work needed or delays.
4. Maintain technician proficiency as per Asbury standards.
5. Conduct road tests to determine work needed and verify completed repairs.
6. Perform diagnosis and repairs at all levels.
7. Perform routine and preventive maintenance services.
8. Utilize product and technical training provided by manufacturers and management.
9. Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training to stay updated on new technology.
10. Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index at or above company goals.
11. Complete warranty repair documentation and warranty claims.
12. Report safety or integrity issues to management.
13. Ensure vehicles are returned clean.
14. Complete required training for compliance with regulations such as OSHA and hazardous waste disposal.
15. Follow all laws and company policies regarding vehicle and property safeguarding.
16. ASE certifications are preferred.
17. Manufacturer certifications are heavily preferred.
18. Have basic tools.
19. Possess strong technical and mechanical skills.
20. Be a team player capable of working on complex tasks repetitively.
21. Be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
22. Pass pre-employment screening (background and drug test).
