Job summary

Rochester Ford in Rochester, MN is seeking an automotive technician to join a busy service department. You will perform repairs and diagnostics with pride, using modern tools and a commitment to high-quality service for every customer.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety compliance, and efficient completion of work while communicating needed services to the Service Advisor. ASE certifications are a plus, a clean driving record is required, and ongoing training and career advancement

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Strong automotive background.
• Clean and valid driver's license.
• Willing to submit to a background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on the repair order with efficiency per dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems (engine, transmission, brakes, A/C, etc.).
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about any additional service needed and provide time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• Must have clean & valid driver's license
