Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and according to dealership standards.
• Test components and systems using diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and according to dealership standards.
• Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Communicate with Service Advisors and provide estimates for additional repairs.
• Execute warranty repairs per manufacturer specifications.

Position Details:

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, with every 5th Saturday from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma
• At least two years of experience as an Automotive Technician
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three or more years of experience
• ASE or similar technical certifications (required for hiring bonus)

Physical Demands:

• Stand for 10+ hours
• Lift 50+ pounds

Work Environment:

The role operates within an automotive dealership service department, using machinery, equipment, and chemicals. Sommer’s is a drug-free workplace.
