Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and/or completion of an automotive technology program.
• 2+ years of automotive repair experience or equivalent strong mechanical aptitude as entry-level.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Own a set of professional hand tools or tool allowance/program available.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals and repair procedures.
• Ability to pass a background check / drug screening as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil/filter changes, fluid service, tire rotation/balancing, and multi-point inspections.
• Repair or replace brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, cooling, and drive-train components.
• Perform engine and transmission repairs as applicable.
• Service A/C and heating systems and complete alignments as applicable.
• Follow manufacturer service procedures, bulletins, and recalls.
• Document findings, repairs, and parts used on repair orders.
• Communicate recommended repairs and urgency to service advisors.
• Keep work area and tools clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all shop safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certifications (A1–A8, G1, or Master Technician status)

• Hybrid and electric vehicle (EV) service experience
• State inspection or emissions license
• EPA Section 609 certification for A/C refrigerant handling
• Experience with shop management software
