Findlay Volvo Cars Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair passenger vehicles and light trucks. You’ll work with service advisors and fellow technicians to deliver safe, high-quality repairs on time.

The role supports training, advancement, and a stable work environment. The position emphasizes following manufacturer procedures, communicating urgency for repairs, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while meeting shop safety

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED and/or completion of an automotive technology program.
• Number of years of automotive repair experience; entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude will be considered.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Own a set of professional hand tools or tool allowance/program available.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals and repair procedures.

Mansioni

• Inspect vehicles and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems using scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil and filter changes, fluid service, tire rotation and balancing, and multi-point inspections.
• Repair or replace brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, cooling, and drive-train components.

Position Summary

We are hiring a skilled Automotive Service Technician to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair [passenger vehicles / light trucks / fleet vehicles / specific makes]. You will work with service advisors and fellow technicians to deliver safe, high-quality repairs on time. Key Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems using scan tools and diagnostic equipment
• Perform routine maintenance: oil and filter changes, fluid service, tire rotation and balancing, and multi-point inspections
• Repair or replace brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, cooling, and drive-train components
• Perform engine and transmission repairs [if applicable to the role]
• Service A/C and heating systems and complete alignments [if applicable]
• Follow manufacturer service procedures, bulletins, and recalls
• Accurately document findings, repairs, and parts used on repair orders
• Communicate recommended repairs and urgency to service advisors
• Keep your work area, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and safe
• Follow all shop safety, environmental, and quality standards

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certifications (A1–A8, G1, or Master Technician status)

• Hybrid and electric vehicle (EV) service experience
• State inspection or emissions license
• EPA Section 609 certification for A/C refrigerant handling
• Experience with shop management software

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Frequently stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods

• Work in a shop environment with noise, fumes, grease, and variable temperatures
• Use power tools, lifts, and hand tools safely, with required personal protective equipment (PPE) provided
