Job description

At Jones Family of Dealerships, we are currently seeking an Automotive Service Technician to join our Honda & GMC teams. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of automotive and light truck systems, including engines, brakes, electrical components, HVAC systems, and more. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in mechanical tasks and preventive maintenance, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• PA Safety Inspection, and PA Emissions licenses.
• Prior experience in automotive repair, with a preference for diesel repair expertise a plus.
• Proficiency in utilizing shop tools and basic computer skills.
• Prior EV experience is valuable but not required.
• Possession of vocational/technical certifications is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance services and warranty repairs efficiently.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, powertrains, HVAC, brakes, and suspension systems with precision.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
• Conduct test drives, routine maintenance tasks like oil changes and battery checks, and assess trade-ins for refurbishment.
• Prepare new vehicles for delivery by conducting thorough inspections and reconditioning.
