Job summary

Rohrman Automotive Group is seeking a skilled Service Technician in Indiana to keep customers' vehicles performing at peak. The shop offers state-of-the-art facilities, manufacturer training, and a strong book of business to maximize productivity and income.

This role requires diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, performing scheduled maintenance, and documenting repairs. ASE certification is preferred; dealership/shop experience and tool proficiency are

Qualifications

• ASE certification preferred; candidates actively pursuing certification are encouraged to apply.
• Prior experience as automotive technician in a dealership or shop setting.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software; brand-specific experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems accurately and efficiently.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and warranty repairs according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Complete all repair orders thoroughly and legibly, documenting parts used and time spent.
• Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding vehicle status, additional needed repairs, and completion timelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation in compliance with shop and OSHA standards.
• Participate in ongoing manufacturer and in-house training to stay current with evolving technology.
• Mentor and support apprentice technicians as needed.
