Rohrman Automotive Group in Illinois is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team and keep customers' vehicles performing at peak levels. Whether you’re seasoned or early in your career, our state-of-the-art facilities and training programs help you maximize productivity and income.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing vehicle systems, performing scheduled maintenance, documenting work, communicating with service advisors, and mentoring apprentices.

Qualifications

• ASE certification preferred; candidates actively pursuing certification encouraged.
• Prior automotive technician experience in a dealership or shop setting.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software; brand-specific experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple repair orders.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems accurately and efficiently.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and warranty repairs according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Complete all repair orders thoroughly and legibly, documenting parts used and time spent.
• Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding vehicle status, additional needed repairs, and completion timelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation in compliance with shop and OSHA standards.
• Participate in ongoing manufacturer and in-house training to stay current with evolving technology.
• Mentor and support apprentice technicians as needed.
