Job summary

Rohrman Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain modern vehicles in a fast-paced dealership service department. The role rewards performance with a competitive pay plan and ongoing factory training.

Qualifications

  • Experience as automotive technician in a dealership or professional repair facility.
  • Factory certifications and/or ASE certifications preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform maintenance, inspections, warranty repairs, and major mechanical repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Produce quality repairs while maintaining strong productivity and efficiency.
  • Complete repair orders accurately with detailed documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding repair recommendations and vehicle status.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Participate in manufacturer, ASE, and in-house training to stay current with today's vehicle technology.
  • Assist and mentor apprentice technicians when appropriate.

Requirements
  • Experience as an automotive technician in a dealership or professional repair facility.
  • Experienced flat-rate technicians strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Documented history of high production and quality workmanship preferred.
  • Factory certifications and/or ASE certifications preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Personal hand tools required (specialty tools provided by the dealership).
