Rohrman Automotive Group in Indiana is hiring a Used Car Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to peak performance. The role offers manufacturer training and a solid book of business, with opportunities to mentor apprentices and grow within the group.

The position requires ASE certification (or active pursuit), dealership experience, and tool proficiency. A clean driving record and the ability to manage multiple repairs in a fast-paced shop are essential.

Qualifications

• ASE certification(s) preferred; candidates actively pursuing certification are encouraged to apply.
• Prior experience as an automotive technician in a dealership or shop setting.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software (brand-specific experience is a plus).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple repair orders efficiently.
• Own a set of personal hand tools (specialty tools provided by dealership).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems accurately and efficiently.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and warranty repairs according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Complete all repair orders thoroughly and legibly, documenting parts used and time spent.
• Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding vehicle status, additional needed repairs, and completion timelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation in compliance with shop and OSHA standards.
• Participate in ongoing manufacturer and in-house training to stay current with evolving technology.
• Mentor and support apprentice technicians as needed.
