Job summary

Byers Automotive is seeking a skilled automotive technician to perform repairs per repair orders with efficiency and accuracy. You will test-drive vehicles, diagnose components, and service systems such as engine, transmission, electrical, brakes, and AC.

You will communicate with the Service Advisor regarding additional services and time estimates, and you will execute warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications. A strong automotive background and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are helpful but not required.
• Strong automotive background.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Willing to submit a background check.
• Clean and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on vehicles per the repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to assess components and systems.
• Diagnose, maintain and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, braking, and AC.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional needed services and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
