Job summary

Mike Carpino Ford Columbus is seeking a motivated Service Technician to join our growing service team. We are a family-owned dealership that values integrity, teamwork, and long-term career growth.

You’ll perform repairs, use diagnostic tools, and uphold quality workmanship for our customers. Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and are willing to learn manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn dealership systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance as specified on repair orders.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to identify issues.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and AC.
• Communicate with Service Advisors regarding additional repair needs and estimated completion times.
• Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer specs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance as specified on repair orders efficiently and accurately

• Test-drive vehicles and utilize diagnostic tools and special service equipment to identify issues

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning

• Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding additional repair needs and estimated completion times

• Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Prior Service Technician experience preferred but not required

• Vocational or technical training preferred

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn dealership systems

• Positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

• Willingness to learn new technologies, procedures, and manufacturer specifications

• Valid driver’s license

Compensation:Pay is based on experience and certifications.
