Automotive Service Technician - Lynnes Hyundai

We run an honest shop and need honest, hard-working technicians. To succeed at our dealership, you need solid skills and strong ethics. We know that to retain good service techs, a dealership must treat them well by offering competitive pay and opportunities for learning and advancement. Responsibilities

  1. Examine and diagnose vehicles
  2. Discuss repairs with shop foreman or service advisor
  3. Communicate additional service requests to the service advisor
  4. Plan work in cooperation with the shop foreman
  5. Provide labor estimates to the service advisor
  6. Monitor repair times and update the service advisor
  7. Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
  8. Complete documentation for client repairs
  9. Assist in mentoring technician trainees
  10. Attend company and factory training sessions
  11. Stay current with factory technical bulletins
  12. Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., hazardous waste disposal)

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
