Job Description

Automotive Service Technician services and repairs vehicles following all established standards and procedures. They may also conduct pre-delivery service on new vehicles to ensure excellent working order for the customer. The technician must deliver high-quality service while maintaining customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has experience which may include: a high school diploma or GED, some post-secondary automotive training, dealer-level or large facility experience, and/or certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence). An unrestricted driver's license, a clean driving record, physical dexterity, and stamina are required. The ability to work productively in a fast-paced team environment with a positive attitude, professional appearance, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to world-class customer service is essential.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain vehicle cleanliness during service or repairs.
2. Perform routine service inspections or tests and complete standard maintenance jobs.
3. Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with regulations and standards.
4. Help maintain shop appearance and safety standards, and ensure efficient shop operation through inventory stocking and other general functions.
5. Follow all shop policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules.
6. Attend staff meetings, training, and educational classes as required.
7. Perform additional duties as assigned.
