Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a motivated General Service Technician to perform basic automotive services such as oil changes, tire installation and balancing, and routine inspections. You will help customers with recommended services while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

The role requires a valid driver s license, high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Training and advancement opportunities are available in a fast-paced tire and service

Qualifications

• Must have a valid drivers license.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willingness to learn and succeed in a technician role.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems including brakes, alignments and suspensions.
• Change engine oil and filter; install tires and tires maintenance; inspect vehicle systems.
• Install batteries, headlights, wipers and perform basic electrical tasks.
• Stock and unload tires; assist other technicians; maintain a neat, safe shop.
• Follow company policies and safety rules; communicate repair needs to customers.
