Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Spring, TX seeks an experienced Manager-on-Deck to lead store performance and guest services. You will oversee daily operations, coach technicians and advisors, control costs, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance while driving growth.

The role offers a compensation range of $60,000 to $80,000 per year, plus benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and advancement opportunities across our national network.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in management or equivalent business experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience in managing and coaching team members to success through effective communication.
• Proven ability to develop and meet monthly, quarterly and annual plans with defined goals for the store.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales and profit goals.
• Automotive technician experience is preferred but not required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years old.
• Must have current or obtain State Inspector license within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Leads and communicates expectations for employees; coaches toward desired behaviors.
• Ensures policy compliance and conducts regular store meetings and audits.
• Partners with HR to recruit, interview, and hire staff as needed.
• Performs regular performance evaluations for all employees.
• Analyzes business trends and drives plans to maximize sales and profits.
• Reviews invoices and reports to identify growth opportunities and maintains asset controls.
• Maintains store cleanliness and merchandising standards; ensures equipment is serviced.
• Oversees proper handling of parts returns and credits.
