Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a motivated Manager-on-Deck to oversee store performance, guest services, and operations in Katy, Texas. This role prepares you for a leadership track within our company and offers hands-on experience across automotive service management.

You will lead a team, control expenses, and drive sales while ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Compensation ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 per year, with benefits and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of management or equivalent business experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience coaching team members to success through effective communication.
• Proven ability to develop and meet monthly, quarterly and annual plans with clear goals.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales and profit goals.
• State Inspector license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire date.
• Valid driver’s license and minimum age of 18.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Sets expectations and communicates regularly with employees on responsibilities, goals, training, development, and customer service.
• Ensures compliance with company policies; conducts regular meetings and store audits.
• Recruits, interviews, and hires new employees as needed in collaboration with HR.
• Conducts performance evaluations for all employees at regular intervals.
• Analyzes business trends; develops plans to maximize sales and achieve targets.
• Maintains controls over assets and follows closing procedures including deposits.
