Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a motivated Manager-on-Deck to oversee store performance, guest services, and profitability. The role focuses on expense control, HR management, and leadership development within a busy automotive service environment.

The position offers compensation between $60,000 and $80,000 per year with benefits including insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and advancement opportunities. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in management or equivalent business experience in the automotive industry.
• Proven ability to develop and meet monthly, quarterly and annual plans with clearly defined goals for the store.
• Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales and profit goals.
• Experience coaching and developing team members to achieve results.
• Possess valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Sets expectations and communicates regularly with employees on responsibilities, goals, training, and customer service; coaches employees toward desired behaviors.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures via meetings and store audits.
• Recruits, interviews, and hires new employees in partnership with HR.
• Conducts regular performance evaluations for all employees.
• Analyzes and measures business trends; develops plans to maximize sales and meet targets; shares results in store meetings.
• Reviews invoices and daily reports to identify opportunities for growth.
• Maintains controls over physical and financial assets; follows closing procedures including deposits.
• Ensures cleanliness of the store and maintains best-in-class housekeeping and merchandising standards.
• Returns unused parts to vendors and tracks credits.
