Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack LLC is seeking a Store Manager in Pittsburgh to lead service, parts and fleet operations on-site. You will recruit, train, and coach staff while driving sales goals and ensuring store productivity and safety.

You will guide customer care, CVIs, and service processes, manage staff scheduling, and maintain strong customer relations. This role requires leadership, independence, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in automotive service environment.
• Two-year college or 1–3 years in service industry with ≥1 year supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to apply basic math to commissions and discounts.
• Experience as a work lead or supervisor.
• Ability to work independently and exercise judgment.
• Strong customer-service and upsell skills.
• Experience with cash handling and POS transactions.
• Ability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage a team of associates, including supervision, coaching and problem resolution.
• Recruit, hire, develop, and lead service selling and back shop staff.
• Ensure productivity, profitability, and safe, compliant store operations.
• Train staff on Customer Care Process and CVIs.
• Maintain staffing levels and interview/hire internal and external candidates.
• Oversee back shop productivity and proper service repairs.
• Enforce POS, inventory, and vendor payment policies.
• Engage with Fleet service teams to build relationships.
• Advise customers on tires, parts and service programs.
• Open and close store; communicate effectively with staff and customers.
