Janitor/Porter Job Description

The Janitor/Porter helps ensure complete customer satisfaction by moving vehicles in and around the service area/lot, maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles and the service area, delivering vehicles to customers after service is complete, and transporting customers to/from their home when needed. We are looking for a reliable person to maintain a clean and safe work environment, responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the customer areas, bathrooms, and service shop.

Responsibilities

• Keep entire department in clean and orderly condition
• Perform duties such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming hallways, stairs, and office spaces
• Use machinery to clean showroom floors, dust the entire facility, and maintain bathrooms and kitchen areas
• Empty trash and garbage containers
• Maintain minor and routine painting, electrical, and other maintenance activities using hand tools
• Move and park vehicles
• Drive the shuttle van
• Work schedule will be from Monday to Saturday (7am-6pm), as assigned by the Service Manager
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Positive attitude, can-do mentality, and eagerness to improve
• Previous janitorial and/or maintenance experience is a plus
• Diligent work ethic and dedicated approach to duties
• Drive with care; valid driver's license and a clean driving record
