Job summary

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers is seeking an Automotive Service Manager to lead the service department, coach technicians, and partner with the Store Manager to drive performance in a fast-paced environment.

You will supervise personnel, manage parts and safety procedures, and ensure quality service and inspections while fostering strong customer relationships and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Service Manager role.
• Proven track record of exceeding business objectives.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and mentoring skills.
• Solid knowledge of OSHA laws and MSDS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the service team and collaborate with the Store Manager.
• Supervise technicians and service personnel; plan, schedule, assign, and follow up on work.
• Coach the team on operational processes and ISI systems and service standards.
• Interact with customers regarding sales, service opportunities, and adjustments.
• Evaluate performance and productivity of service staff.
• Manage parts inventory and outside purchases; ensure compliance with Tire Purchase Program.
• Ensure store safety and proper equipment layout in the service area.
• Oversee shop operations to ensure adherence to safety procedures.
• Guide personnel on enforcing wheel torqueing processes.
• Ensure that proper inspections are conducted.
