Kunes Auto Group in Illinois is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead the service department, ensuring clear communication, exceptional customer service, and efficient, profitable operations. You will oversee daily service operations, mentor staff, and drive department performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in automotive service or dealership service; management experience preferred
• Strong leadership skills with ability to coach, motivate and hold a team accountable
• Technical/trade school diploma or ASE certifications preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong computer skills
• Strong math skills
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the service department team to deliver an outstanding customer experience
• Greet and communicate with customers regarding vehicle concerns, diagnoses, and repair recommendations
• Oversee diagnosis and repair processes to ensure accuracy and quality
• Keep customers updated throughout the service process, from drop-off to delivery
• Manage service department scheduling, workflow, and productivity
• Monitor department performance, including sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer and dealership service standards
• Coach and develop service advisors and technicians

Position Summary

• $120,000.00–$150,000.00 annually, based on experience
• Base Salary + Commission
