Job summary

American Tire Depot is looking for an Automotive Service Manager to lead the service team in our California store. You’ll train, coach, and motivate technicians and advisors, bridge between mechanics and customers, and drive sales and service outcomes with a focus on speed, accuracy, and world-class customer care.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of service-management experience in automotive or retail repair, strong service-sales background, and the ability to lead in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of automotive service management or retail repair leadership.
• Strong background in service sales (tires, brakes, maintenance).
• Ability to lead in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift 70 lbs.
• Open availability, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead the service team — train, coach, and motivate techs & advisors to perform at their best.
• Bridge between mechanics and customers: explain repairs, recommend services, and close sales with confidence.
• Drive store performance by hitting and exceeding sales & service targets.
• Partner with Store Manager on daily operations, scheduling, and compliance.
• Keep the shop efficient, safe, and aligned with company standards.
• Ensure every customer gets world-class service that builds loyalty and trust.
