Job summary

Apple Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Shakopee is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor to join our busy service team. We value motivated, customer-focused professionals who build relationships and help customers confidently navigate their vehicle's service needs.

You will greet customers, listen to concerns, identify maintenance and repair needs, prepare repair orders, and clearly communicate findings with technicians and customers to ensure timely, accurate servicing.

Qualifications

• Previous Automotive Service Advisor or service writer experience preferred.
• Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, or Stellantis experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to explain automotive repairs clearly in plain language.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume service department.
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple repair orders.
• Basic computer and dealership software proficiency.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and serve as their primary point of contact throughout the service process.
• Listen to customer concerns and identify vehicle maintenance and repair needs.
• Recommend appropriate maintenance and repair services.
• Prepare and explain repair orders, estimates, costs, and timelines.
• Communicate technician findings and recommendations clearly to customers.
• Keep customers updated on repair status and potential delays.
• Build long-term customer relationships through excellent communication and follow-up.
• Coordinate with technicians, parts, and other service department team members.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and customer records in the dealership DMS.
• Address customer questions and concerns professionally.
• Help deliver an efficient and exceptional service experience from write-up through vehicle delivery.

What We're Looking For

• Previous Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or dealership service experience preferred
• Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, or Stellantis experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to explain automotive repairs and recommendations clearlyComfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume service department
• Strong organization and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple customers and repair orders simultaneously
• Basic computer and dealership software proficiency
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
