Job summary

Plaza Tire Service, part of The Sun Auto Network, is seeking a Service Advisor in Waterloo, IL. The role involves greeting customers, quoting services, and promoting repairs and parts while managing workflow in the shop.

Must have prior Service Advisor experience and a strong focus on customer service. The position offers compensation of $50,000-$80,000 per year, composed of hourly pay plus commission, with benefits included as listed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior experience as a Service Advisor.
• Prior experience in sales, customer service or automotive related field.
• Professional appearance and ability to work in a process-driven environment.
• Possess valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work five days per week, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a professional manner in person and on the phone using standard techniques.
• Listen to and document customer concerns; inspect vehicle and reference service history to identify needs.
• Recommend services and communicate additional technician recommendations to help customers decide.
• Promote the sales of services, parts, and accessories with product knowledge.
• Provide customers with accurate quotes including cost and time for approved services; update status throughout the day.
• Follow proper checkout procedures including warranties explanation.
• Conduct post-repair follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Track returns and warranty parts for customers.
• Other duties as assigned.
