Job summary

Jeff D'Ambrosio Dodge Chrysler Jeep is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer to join a busy, high-volume service department. You will greet customers, document service needs, prepare repair orders, and communicate maintenance recommendations clearly.

The role requires excellent communication, customer service, and sales skills, with the ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer experience preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service and sales skills.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume service department.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and professional appearance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar systems is a plus.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers professionally and provide an outstanding service experience.
• Listen to customer concerns and document vehicle service needs.
• Prepare repair orders and communicate recommended maintenance and repairs.
• Work with technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely completion of repairs.
• Present service recommendations, estimates, and repair options to customers.
• Obtain customer authorization for repairs and additional services.
• Maintain communication regarding vehicle status, pricing, and completion times.
• Recommend factory-scheduled maintenance and additional services.
• Build relationships to encourage repeat business and retention.
• Handle questions professionally and efficiently.
• Ensure repair orders are completed accurately with proper documentation.
• Meet or exceed departmental goals for satisfaction, sales, and productivity.
