Job summary

A tire service franchise in McAllen, Texas, seeks a Service Advisor to consult with customers on vehicle service needs, create repair orders, and communicate with the service department. Ideal candidates will have experience in a retail environment, preferably within auto or truck services. Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a retail environment, preferably auto/truck tire, lubrication and maintenance.
• 3+ years experience as a Service Advisor in an auto repair store or dealership.
• Experience as a vehicle mechanic or lubrication technician.

Responsibilities

• Promptly meets and greets customers
• Determines the nature of customer problems and may perform a road test
• Creates Repair Order Request detailing services
• Obtains customer approval for service
• Reviews completed repairs with customers and collects payment
• Maintains cleanliness of showroom
• Performs daily cash/sales procedures
• Complies with safety and quality control policies

Skills

Knowledge of computerized sales and marketing software

Knowledge of auto/truck tire, lubrication and maintenance issues

Education

High School diploma or comparable vocational training
