Job Description
The Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service work in the service department and for selling additional services to customers.

Education And Experience
- Prior Experience Preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years or more experience
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) rating as set by service manager
- Maintain the prescribed standard for “hours per customer repair order written”
- Greet customers in a timely, friendly, and professional manner. Communicate with customers to determine their mechanical problems and obtain accurate customer and vehicle data.
- Test-drive vehicle as necessary
- Advise customers on vehicle care and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Inspect vehicles for additional repair needs and explain repairs clearly
- Notify dispatcher of incoming work
- Provide estimates for labor and parts; follow up with customers for approval if needed
- Establish payment methods and obtain credit approval if necessary
- Obtain customer signatures and provide copies of repair orders
- Follow up on repair progress and communicate with customers about changes
- Handle inquiries regarding work and appointments
- Ensure work quality and reduce comebacks
- Deliver vehicles and answer customer questions
- Maintain good customer relationships for repeat business
- Keep work and waiting areas clean
Physical Requirements
- Occasionally use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Regularly stand, talk, hear, walk, and sit
- Potential exposure to exhaust fumes or airborne particles
- Occasionally lift/move up to 10 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision
