Job summary

Group 1 Automotive, Inc. is seeking a Service Advisor to join our Tulsa-area dealerships. You will act as the trusted link between customers and the service department, guiding maintenance needs with clear estimates and timelines.

You will schedule appointments, greet customers, document concerns, and collaborate with technicians and parts staff to deliver an outstanding ownership experience. The role offers a $2,500 monthly base pay plus commission, ongoing training, and long-term growth

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Prior experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a customer-facing role in a dealership or automotive service environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance, repair processes, and vehicle systems
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with ability to explain technical information clearly
• Proven ability to upsell recommended maintenance and repairs based on vehicle needs
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple customers and tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds) and basic computer skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, parts staff, and management

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by scheduling appointments, greeting customers, and managing the service process from write-up to vehicle delivery
• Create accurate repair orders, document concerns, and provide clear estimates for services, costs, and timelines
• Serve as primary contact between customers, technicians, and parts personnel for seamless communication
• Keep customers informed with proactive updates and manage expectations
• Review inspections and confidently recommend maintenance to enhance safety and reliability
• Build trust and long-term relationships through professionalism and transparency
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of maintenance schedules, warranties, and offerings
• Document customer interactions, repair recommendations, approvals, and services in the system
• Aim to consistently achieve customer satisfaction, sales, and performance goals

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by scheduling appointments, greeting customers, and efficiently managing the service process from write-up through vehicle delivery.
• Create accurate repair orders, document customer concerns, and provide clear estimates for recommended services, costs, and completion timelines.

• Keep customers informed throughout the service process by providing proactive updates, managing expectations, and addressing questions or concerns.
• Review multi-point inspections and confidently recommend maintenance and repair services that enhance vehicle performance, safety, and reliability.
• Build trust and long‑term customer relationships through professionalism, transparency, and outstanding service.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle maintenance schedules, manufacturer recommendations, warranties, and dealership service offerings.
• Utilize dealership systems to accurately document customer interactions, repair recommendations, approvals, and completed services.
• Consistently achieve customer satisfaction, sales, and performance goals in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving recordHigh school diploma or equivalent required; additional automotive training or certifications are a plus
• Prior experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or in a customer-facing role within a dealership or automotive service environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance, repair processes, and vehicle systems
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in a clear, professional manner
• Proven ability to upsell recommended maintenance and repairs based on vehicle needs
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple customers and tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with dealership management systems (such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar) and basic computer skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, parts staff, and management
