Job summary

Baker Buick GMC Hudsonville is seeking a high-energy Automotive Service Advisor to join our Baker Auto Group team. You will be the primary contact for customers from greeting through delivery, learning product details to assist customers, and presenting appropriate automotive services.

We offer a chance to work with a high-performing Buick GMC team, trained on the rest if you have prior service-advisor experience, with a focus on customer satisfaction and efficiency in the shop flow.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Dealership service department or automotive repair shop.
• Current valid driver's license and insurability rating.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; College experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary customer contact from initial greeting to delivery of the serviced vehicle.
• Learn your product to be a credible resource for customers.
• Assess customer needs and present the appropriate services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Be the primary customer contact, from the point of initial greeting to delivery of the serviced vehicle.
• Learn your product to be a credible resource for your customers.
• Thoroughly assess customer needs and present the appropriate services.
• Champion the multi-point inspection process and review results with every customer.
• Organize and present estimates that make customers want to invest in their vehicles.
• Manage your book of business making sure vehicles get through the shop on schedule.
• Ensure customers stay informed with up-to-date progress and changes in status.
• Insist on keeping your paperwork organized and current.
• Understand and stay compliant with the manufacturer warranty and policy & procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in a Dealership service department or automotive repair shop.
• Experience with the CDK dealer management system is a bonus.
• A current valid driver's license and insurability rating is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; College experience is a plus.
