Mac's Auto Repair and Tire Center is seeking a skilled Service Advisor in Ashland, VA. You will greet customers, assess service needs, and coordinate with technicians to ensure timely, accurate repairs.

Use Mitchell 1, ALLDATA, and other tools to prepare estimates and repair orders while maintaining superb customer service. The role emphasizes 3+ years of service-advisor experience, 2+ years in automotive retail, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Service Advisor in auto repair shop, dealership, or comparable environment.
• 2+ years of retail sales/customer service experience (automotive, tire, or lube background preferred).
• Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance, tires, and standard repair procedures.
• Proficiency with automotive software platforms (Mitchell 1, ALLDATA) and computer sales systems.
• High School diploma or comparable vocational training.
• Strong communication, organizational, and payment-handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet incoming customers, listen to vehicle concerns, and determine service needs.
• Research repair procedures, parts, and labor using platforms like Mitchell 1, ALLDATA, and Protractor & Auto Flow.
• Create detailed Repair Orders (ROR), present estimates, and obtain customer approval before work begins.
• Serve as the central relay point between customers and technicians to ensure repairs run smoothly.
• Review completed work with customers, collect payments, and manage end-of-day sales and cash procedures.

What We’re Looking For
