Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle systems including brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment and air conditioning.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers in clear terms.
• Stay current with automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three categories within the first two years; company pays fees and offers a bonus for each test passed.

Position Summary

The Senior Technician position requires diagnosing drivability and electrical systems while mentoring and leading a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and advanced fuel ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑technical customers.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three categories (A1–A8) within the first two years of employment. The company pays test and registration fees and awards a bonus for each test passed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid automobile driver’s license at all times, with the ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Demonstrated skill in brakes, hydraulics systems, steering & suspension, and alignments.
• Proficiency in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Current federal, state, and local certifications/laws where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical people.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 3 years of automotive repair experience, with skills demonstrated through third‑party assessments or a completion of a Vocational‑Technical School Program.
• ASE certification in at least one of the A1–A8 categories (L1 certification acceptable).
