Qualifications

• Certified master technician with ASE Master status and Ford Senior Master credentials preferred.

• Valid driver’s license with clean record and ownership of pro-level tools.

Responsibilities

Job Description

AutoNation Ford Forth Worth is seeking an elite, highly skilled Senior Master Automotive Service Technician to join our fast-growing service team. In this senior technical role, you will lead the shop in performing complex mechanical repairs, advanced electrical and computer diagnostics, and specialized overhaul work across our full line of Ford passenger cars, SUVs, commercial trucks, and pre-owned inventory.

We are looking for a master-level professional who takes pride in diagnostic accuracy, shop efficiency, and Fixed Right First Time standards. As a Senior Master Technician, you will handle the shop's most challenging repair orders while serving as a technical mentor to junior technicians. AutoNation provides a heavy, continuous flow of customer pay and warranty work so you can maximize your flag hours every week.

Work Requirements

• Certifications: Active Ford Senior Master Technician certification status required.
• Experience: Extensive professional automotive repair experience in a Ford dealership or high-volume shop environment.
• Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Tools: Ownership of a comprehensive, professional master-level set of automotive tools and roll-around storage cart.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Diagnostics: Lead the shop in utilizing advanced Ford factory diagnostic equipment and scanning software to accurately isolate complex mechanical, electrical, drivability, and computer network faults.
• Master-Level Repair: Perform high-level engine overhauls, transmission rebuilds, diesel repairs, electrical system troubleshooting, and advanced drivetrain repairs strictly to factory specifications.
• Technical Mentorship: Serve as a shop leader and mentor, providing guidance, diagnostic assistance, and technical advice to apprentice and line technicians.
• Quality Assurance: Adhere strictly to AutoNation and Ford Fixed Right First Time guidelines to eliminate comebacks and ensure absolute customer vehicle safety.
• Detailed Documentation: Provide clear, highly detailed write-ups on repair orders detailing diagnostic steps, root causes, and exact corrections for warranty compliance and audit protection.
• Safety and Standards: Maintain a clean, organized work environment while enforcing shop safety guidelines, equipment handling standards, and EPA compliance protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of high productivity, diagnostic precision, and shop leadership.
• Mastery of modern automotive mechanics, electrical schematics, multiplex networking, and advanced diagnostic logic.
• High level of personal integrity, strong work ethic, and a mentor-focused mindset.
• Current ASE Master Technician certifications are highly preferred alongside Ford Senior Master credentials.
