Job summary

Camaco is seeking a Program Manager – Automotive Seating to lead programs from award through launch, ramp‑up, and ongoing change management. You will coordinate engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to meet timing, cost, and quality targets while maintaining customer satisfaction.

The role requires managing APQP deliverables, PFMEA, control plans, and PPAP, with a strong focus on profitability, risk management, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive program management or related roles.
• Experience with automotive seating systems and related processes is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, Run‑at‑Rate, and customer launch requirements.
• Experience with OEMs or Tier 1 automotive customers; understanding IATF 16949.
• Proven project management skills including timing, budget, risk management, and cross‑functional coordination.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP/MRP systems, and program tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead automotive seating programs from nomination through launch, SOP, ramp‑up, and stabilization.
• Serve as the primary customer interface for status, timing, risks, changes, and launch readiness.
• Develop and maintain program timelines, milestone trackers, and escalation plans.
• Coordinate cross‑functional activities with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
• Drive APQP deliverables including timing plans, design reviews, PFMEA, control plans, and PPAP.
• Manage program budget, tooling costs, engineering expenses, and capital requirements.
• Monitor profitability with cost changes, supplier costs, labor, and launch expenses.
• Lead regular program reviews and communicate status, actions, and recovery plans.
• Ensure customer requirements are understood and implemented across the organization.
• Support seating system manufacturing processes and readiness for new/modified programs.
