Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a sales team, drive market share, and deliver exceptional customer experiences for new and used vehicle sales. You will coach, train and retain top talent while aligning with store leadership to optimize inventory and profitability.

You will partner with the General Manager/General Sales Manager to execute strategy, manage performance, and uphold AutoNation's standards of service and integrity across all customer touchpoints.

Responsibilities

• Leading yourself and the team to support AutoNation's Vision and Mission.
• Setting a clear vision and goals for the sales team to achieve targeted performance in new and used vehicle sales and profit.
• Engaging and motivating the team to meet key objectives and adopt best practice processes.
• Driving the business through active involvement in day-to-day operations.
• Managing negotiations with Sales Associates to explain vehicle options and pricing.
• Appraising vehicles for trade.
• Overseeing showroom, e-commerce, and phone traffic.
• Collaborating with the GM/GSM to plan and manage inventory and expenses.
• Analyzing business performance and developing action plans to improve results.
