Job summary

AutoNation, a leading automotive retailer, seeks a Sales Manager to lead a dynamic sales team in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving market share growth across both new and used vehicle channels.

You will recruit, train, and coach Sales Associates, set strategic targets, and collaborate with General Manager to optimize inventory and expenses while sustaining profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sales team to align with AutoNation’s Vision and Mission.
• Set clear vision and goals for new and used vehicle sales and profit.
• Engage and motivate the team to achieve key goals and standard processes.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and drive performance across Showroom, E-Commerce, and Phones.
• Negotiate with Sales Associates to explain vehicle options and pricing.
• Appraise vehicles for trade-ins and manage inventory planning with leadership.
• Manage controllable expenses in New/Used Vehicle Departments.
• Analyze business performance and develop action plans to close gaps.
