Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a dynamic sales team, driving exceptional customer experiences and achieving targeted unit sales and profits. You will select, train, coach, and retain top Sales Associates while maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal partners.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, performance management, and hands-on involvement in showroom, ecommerce, and phone traffic to maximize market share.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Proven success in auto retail sales.
• Proven leadership ability to mentor and train others.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sales team to achieve targeted performance in new and used vehicle sales and profit.
• Set a clear vision and goals for the sales team to achieve performance targets.
• Engage and motivate the team to meet key goals and best practices.
• Drive business through daily involvement in showroom, ecommerce, and phone operations.
• Manage negotiations with Sales Associates and help customers understand options and pricing.
• Assist in inventory planning and trade‑in appraisals.
• Partner with General Manager to plan inventory and manage expenses.
• Analyze business to identify shortfalls and develop improvement actions.
