Qualifications

• Experience managing a sales team in automotive retail or similar environment.
• Ability to forecast sales, gross, and expenses on a monthly/annual basis.
• Experience developing and administering department budgets and staffing plans.

Responsibilities

• Forecasts goals and objectives for sales, gross, and expenses monthly and annually.
• Hires, trains, motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of all new-vehicle sales employees.
• Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the new-vehicle sales department.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations affecting new-vehicle sales.
• Directs and schedules department activities to ensure proper staffing.
• Assists salespeople in setting aggressive yet realistic monthly goals and provides support to meet them.
• Maintains a daily log reflecting all sales activities and ensures follow-up with potential buyers.
• Develops and monitors a follow-up system for new-vehicle purchasers.
• Oversees efforts to enhance customer satisfaction ratings and dealership image.
• Collaborates with sales staff on programs to increase new-car gross and F&I penetration.
