Job summary

IRA TOYOTA OF ORLEANS, part of Group 1 Automotive, is seeking an Automotive Sales Manager to lead a dynamic sales team in Orleans, MA. You will coach staff, set goals, monitor performance, and drive customer-focused sales processes to achieve monthly and annual targets.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing preferred.
  • 3–5 years automotive sales experience, with supervisory/management background preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and customer service abilities.
  • Knowledge of DMS, CRM and inventory management tools.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales objectives.
  • Recruit, train, and develop sales consultants to improve performance and customer service.
  • Monitor sales activities, KPIs, and dealership profitability.
  • Assist sales staff in closing vehicle sales and resolving customer concerns.
  • Ensure an outstanding customer experience throughout the buying process.
  • Manage inventory to maintain the proper mix of vehicles and maximize turnover.
  • Collaborate with F&I to facilitate financing and product sales.
  • Review deals for accuracy, profitability, and compliance.
  • Analyze sales reports, market trends, and competitor activity to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Establish pricing strategies and approve vehicle discounts within dealership guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulations governing automotive sales.
  • Foster a positive, high-performance team culture.

Typical Salary (U.S.)
