Job summary

LaFontaine Automotive Group in Michigan is seeking an Automotive Sales Assistant to support the showroom team, greet customers, describe vehicles, and coordinate test drives. You will work with Sales Consultants, Sales Managers, and Finance to ensure a smooth customer experience, with a strong emphasis on organization, communication, and follow-through.

Qualifications

• Must be dependable, friendly, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
• Office experience and general telephone skills.
• Typing and documentation skills are required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs.
• Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise.
• Update customer records in dealership applications.
• Contact customers to answer basic procedural questions.
• Coordinate test drives and trade vehicle appraisals.
• Pull vehicle invoices.
• Run rebate summaries on vehicles.
• Work with the finance department to obtain the necessary customer information for credit approvals.
• Work with the service department to ensure accessory installations.
• Schedule appointments & deliveries.
• Reconcile monthly volume of sales.
• Other duties as assigned.
