Position: Used Car Sales Consultant

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Automotive Sales Consultant to take the lead in expanding our pre-owned vehicle operations. This role is perfect for a results-driven professional with a strong background in automotive sales and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the dealership’s used car inventory.
  • Conduct daily assessments of outbound emails and incoming leads via Dealer Socket.
  • Establish and enforce appraisal standards while performing vehicle appraisals.
  • Communicate regularly with the Used Car Manager regarding trade-in opportunities.
  • Utilize industry tools, including inventory management software and CRM systems.
  • Ensure vehicles are front-line ready, including managing year stickers, plate frames, and wholesale units.
  • You will continuously develop product and sales acumen to become the vehicle authority; know the ins and the outs of product offerings, optional packages, and the latest technologies for new and used cars.
  • You will develop relationships with customers to build a client-base for life.
  • You will exhibit consultative selling skills and assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
  • You will handle customer concerns, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within reasonable time limits using dealership’s CRM, phone, text and email.
  • You will perform high-quality, professional demonstrations of new/used vehicles.
  • You will follow up with buyers to ensure successful referral business.
  • You will learn to overcome objections and thrive within sales situations.
  • You will become a team leader by helping the sales team reach their goals set by management.
  • You will bring leadership, ‘A game’ along with a positive attitude to work every single day.

Qualifications & Skills

  • At least one year of experience in used vehicle sales, with broad knowledge of all vehicle types.
  • Minimum three years of dealership-level sales experience.
  • Professional demeanor and business-appropriate attire.
  • Strong work ethic in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Proven customer service skills that enhance satisfaction and build long-term trust.
  • Friendly, enthusiastic, and a positive team player.
  • Open to feedback for continuous improvement and career growth.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and multitasking tools.
  • Ability to maintain an organized, detail-oriented, and professional workspace.
