Genuine Parts Company seeks an Assistant Store Manager to lead NAPA retail operations with a strong emphasis on customer service and team leadership. You will support the Store Manager across all functions, while maintaining active sales responsibilities and ensuring smooth daily operations.

The role emphasizes coaching, inventory control, and delivering excellent customer experiences in a fast-paced environment. Overtime and keyholder duties may be required to maintain store continuity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in automotive after-market or willingness to learn.
• Leadership experience.
• Passion for customer care and building relationships.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment.
• Knowledge of cataloging/inventory systems.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Experience in parts/retail management preferable.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, and staffing.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across channels.
• Model expected behaviors and customer standards.
• Oversee opening/closing routines including cash reconciliation and safety checks.
• Handle or support scheduling, documentation and performance tracking.
• Monitor store metrics like sales, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
• Provide coaching and development for team members and successors.
